Welcome! I'm Erica Forbes, born and raised in Santa Barbara. As a youth, I spent two years living in the wilderness, an experience that profoundly shaped my connection to nature and the earth. 

At 14, I became a vegetarian. I immersed myself in music, made my own jewelry/ clothing and embracing an organic lifestyle. 

I've woven together passions for music, sustainability, wellness, healing, fashion, crystals, and the natural world to create The Lotus Boutique, a vibrant space reflecting these values. 

Within The Lotus Boutique, I've nestled Lotus Healing Studio, an immersive sound bath space nurturing body, mind, and spirit.

As a certified Sound Healing Practitioner, Reiki Master/Teacher, and Crystal + Chakra + Energy Practitioner, I craft sound baths with instruments like 19th-century Himalayan bowls, crystal singing bowls, rainstick, chimes, flutes, and drums. 

I also offer my services to high-end hotels in Santa Barbara, such as El Encanto, sharing relaxing sound baths for rejuvenation with their guests. 

My studio, Lotus Healing Studio, serves as a vibrant hub for weekly sound baths, reflecting my passion for creating accessible spaces for community connection and growth. This work is a culmination of my life's journey, blending my love of nature, music and healing. 

Growing up in the 80s, my mom's Reiki practice and hands-on healing had a profound impact on me, especially her playing Gregorian Chant, which I felt deeply in my body. Her ability to relieve my headaches with hands-on healing left a lasting impression.

My grandmother's collection of sound instruments, including a 4-foot standing gong, singing bowls, and water gongs, also had a profound impact on me. I could feel the ancient modalities held in these beautiful pieces, and it sparked a lifelong passion.

My father, a director, producer, writer, and filmmaker, instilled in me the value of working for myself and seeing things from different perspectives. His influence empowered me to be independent and self-driven. He lived a healthy lifestyle, didn't drink, and ate well, which has had a lasting impact on my own approach to wellness.

My sound baths are created in real-time, with no repetition or pre-recorded tracks. Every session is unique, allowing you to fully immerse in the moment and let go.

With over 300 hours of study with various teachers and schools, I'm driven by a passion to understand trauma-informed care and empower my clients to tap into their own healing potential. I believe we're all energy, and we all have the capacity to heal ourselves.
